Nina Elyassian, Every morning as I awake and prepare for the day ahead, I take a deep breath and marvel at the fact that I love my job. Although my profession is hard work, I share in a collaborative team effort. Everyone here enjoys working together to produce the kind of care and services our patients need.
My educational background includes graduate work at USC, where I earned my B.S. degree and my license as a registered dental hygenist. I have been involved in teaching and I am currently a member of the USC faculty. I also have a degree as a Myofunctional therapist (MFT.) Myofunctional Therapy is a type of treatment which retrains the muscles of the head and neck to function in a balanced system. First, oral habits such as thumb suckiing, nail biting, or mought breathing are eliminated. The, proper rest posture of the tongue is established and the correct swallow is introduced with various exercises. My work at Dr. Feder's office began in 1998. While being shown around, I noticed how enthusiastic Dr. Feder was about his work. This made for an easy decision to accept a position with Dr. Feder. I immediately knew this was an environment which promoted great doctor-patient relations. I enjoy caring for my patients in the same way, offering genuine care and a comprehensive outlook on periodontal health. It encourages me to know that I am making an important difference in so many lives. We hope you join us in helping to achieve the smile you want to see.
